For starters, I’ve told you to steer clear from Craigslist for any dating right? So, if you’ve listed to me then you don’t need to read this. Actually, I take that back. You should read about this Craigslist verification scam that I’ve just uncovered. It’s all being run by the website, Verifydatesafely.com.
Craigslist Verification Scam Exposed
If you have posted or contacted someone on Craigslist trying to hook up with them then you may have come across someone known as “Ashley Robbins.” This isn’t her real name but it’s the name that she uses when trying to scam people online. What Ashley Robbins does is she sends you a message telling you that she wants to be friends and seriously get to know one another.
She’s slick about it and plays the verification process tactic. She tries to get guys to join a specific site to verify who they really are. She will ask you to visit VerifyDateSafely.com to get verified before she meets you. This person plays it off as is she wants to meet you and that she’s only doing it to make sure you are safe to meet.
She’ll ask you to go to the site and you’ll be prompted to enter your credit card information to verify who you really are. I’m going to suggest that you not do what she’s asking you to do. I don’t care how much you like here. I promise you that Ashley and anyone else trying to get you to enter your credit card information on this site is trying to scam you.
What happens when you enter your information?
Your credit card will be charged a bunch of money for no reason at all. The charges add up to almost $120 in total. One charge for xxxstarpass.com at $39.61; another for sexwetnwild.com for $39.89 and a final charge for safegamehub.com at $39.42. This site is one of the biggest scammers on the Internet and I’d strongly advise that you delete any messages that you receive from them immediately. You may get the same scam from a site called passageverify.com and if you get a message from them I suggest you delete them immediately.
What’s safe to join?
Well, there are a few safe sites to join if you want to meet people and not be charged for a bunch of nonsense that you don’t want to pay for or have access to. I’d highy suggest reading both of the reviews that I’ve listed below.
